Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
Support Our ResearchHelp Us Advance Medical Knowledge - Ways You Can Make A Difference
There are approximately 21 million children and adults in the United States who have diabetes. Under the new leadership of Dr. Antonio Bianco, joining UM from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, the Division’s focus will include developing a comprehensive diabetes center, including type II diabetes, the most common form of diabetes. Therefore, the energized team has set the priority for the endocrinology Division to become a leading research and clinical care Division for type I and II diabetes.
Despite many recent advances, there is more research, education, and outreach to undertake. The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism needs your support to perform state-of-the-art medical research and outstanding medical education. We hope you will take this exciting opportunity to join us as partners and good citizens in making an impact on patients and their families.

Coffee Talk Conversations
Approximately twice a year we invite a small group of patients and donors to the medical campus for an informal conversation about the latest research developments. During this time we talk about the Division’s clinical and research efforts, ways to improve treatment, what today's research means for tomorrow’s patients, and address any hot topics people may want to bring to the table. For more information on our upcoming Coffee Talk Conversation, please contact Angelique S.C. Grant, Ph.D. at angelique@miami.edu or (305) 243-5605.
