A Message from The Chief
Welcome to the University of Miami Division of Rheumatology.
The University of Miami, Division of Rheumatology employs and develops experts in the rheumatic diseases to provide compassionate high quality care for patients, and to foster scientific breakthroughs that advance the state of the art in rheumatic disease care.
We are organized so our faculty, focus in depth on the specific diseases in which they are experts, increasing the opportunities for teaching, research, and clinical care to intersect and synergize.
We attract talented and caring trainees to our rheumatology fellowship program who share our passions for teaching (and learning), research (and its clinical application), and quality care (delivered with humanity).
We are proud that the diversity of our division reflects that of our cosmopolitan home in South Florida. We are striving to be a friendly and accessible resource to all those who may need us, including patients and families, healthcare providers seeking rheumatology help, and even community rheumatologists who need not face challenging cases alone.
In addition to the University of Miami Medical Center campus in downtown Miami (where we staff the rheumatology services at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami Hospital, and the Miami VA Hospital), the Division of Rheumatology sees patients in clinics in Deerfield Beach, Plantation, Kendall and our new clinic at the Lennar Center in Coral Gables.
The Division of Rheumatology is strengthened by its supporters. We thank the patients who choose to see us, the health care professionals who refer cases to us, the students who seek training with us, the research participants who help us develop new knowledge and insights, and all those who have donated money to help grow our success. We actively encourage additional support to help further extend our successes.
Eric Greidinger, M.D.
Chief, Division of Rheumatology
