Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Training Program

The Divisions maintains a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Training Program based at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital which prepares trainees to become academically oriented physicians and leaders in clinical teaching and/or clinical and laboratory research related to hematology/oncology. An integrated Fellowship Training Program leads to eligibility for Hematology and/or Oncology Board Examinations following three years of training. Additional supplemental training is available in the division in specialized areas such as lymphoma and bone marrow transplantation. Clinical rotations offer a broad exposure to hematologic and oncologic diseases in in-patient and out-patient settings at the University of Miami Hospital, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital. The highly competitive selective process allows selection of highly qualified fellows from a large applicant pool from outstanding programs to participate in fellowship training at the University of Miami.

Multiple members of the division are also active participants in graduate programs such as the Sheila and David Fuente Graduate Program in Cancer Biology, and or hold secondary appointments in affiliated graduate programs across the campus.

We invite you to learn more about our program by visiting our Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Training Program website.
